I did pretty good last year of getting in my lifting workouts along with cardio. BUT then the stupid months of Sept-Dec come up (holidays, HAWKEYES football, DOLPHINS football, so more booze and snacks and junk crap) So I tried to do more cardio just to burn off all the crap.
I weighed in yesterday, 200, (Jan-11 I was 229, Jan-12 I was 210 (the shitty part of it is I was 180 back in July-12, but at-least I am under what I was the previous year).
This morning’s lift was good mainly arms today with 10 minute warm up of cardio. Getting up at 4:45 am sucks, but like I said, once you get there it don’t matter, its the getting there that is the hardest. But I’ll keep at it, I think having something to train for helps keep me motivated (cause let’s be honest I can’t train for RAGBRAI otherwise I would gain weight from drinking to much) But having this TRI to train for is nice, now I just need to find something in November to train for to keep me motivated and not go back to the habits I listed above in the fall months!
