and I think…I’m Back!

So this week I went to the Gym on Monday. I did 35 minutes on the Elliptical, and then went to the treadmill. The last time I tried to run, after about 25 seconds my knee hurt. I jumped on, bumped the speed to 6.5 and ran a mile straight. It hurt a little in between  but I managed to pull through. I finished the last mile with a fast brisk pace of a walk. I think I could have gone longer, maybe 2 miles, but I didn’t want to push it to hard and end up damaging my knee any longer. Afterwards I went down to the pool. I did 500 meters straight without stopping, hoping to beat my 10:56 time. I didn’t, I got 11 minutes plus some seconds that I don’t remember.

Yesterday after I woke up my hip was hurting pretty bad. I think either I slept a weird way, or it was because I haven’t ran in a while. I got home and had to shovel the driveway. Usually it takes an hour to do, I did a half ass job in 20 minutes to just get it cleaned off. I wanted to go to the gym, but the pain was stopping me. I even made it to the garage and then tuned around and went back inside. BUT then I decided I would just go do the elliptical, if it hurt I would go sit in the hot tub. It hurt, but I managed to get in 45 minutes on the Elliptical and 15 minute walk before I went into the hot tub.

Today I am planning on attending my first Cycling class since the injury. It’s been so long since I have gone and I think I am due for a cycling ass whopping. I plan to get their early and get in some extra Cardio before the class to loosen up the legs. But, either way I am doing the class, will fight through any pain…NO PAIN NO GAIN!!!
